Out-of-universe:

Requiem For the Nordlands’ goal, beyond just music, is to celebrate both an event called Server War, which had its second event run a year ago in the /r/AceCombat Discord server, as well as the birthday of the two GM’s who ran it. It brought together a wide variety of users from a wide variety of backgrounds and inspirations to work together to tell a story in a month-long collaborative story-telling event, and the work, the dedication, and the joy that it brought should be remembered fondly.

In-universe:

Leading up to the Server War that Requiem For the Nordlands focuses on, the prior Server War had introduced much of the main cast, but not much of the core themes for the conflict and story that the second event would focus on. Instead, a lot of the ideas and themes for the story came right before the event started – it would focus on a resource war, started by the neighbor for the Nordlands’ over the resource-rich mountains that were on their border. This ultimately served secondary, however, to what would be focused on a lot more – the people it brought together and their conflicts between identities, and how those were set aside to protect the Nordlands and to the questions of who they could trust – and why. With mercenaries on both sides of the conflict, and the son of Cipher central to the conflict, the only thing that many found themselves able to trust were their own planes.

At first I thought a budget Ace combat game Ost would be amateur but after hearing t he first few tracks, I never would thought that I would be listening to the OST every hour 24/7 and this large of a caliber of a composter is something I never thought can pull off... I'm glad I found Jose Pavli's music. benmccool01

Idk how, but Pavli managed to capture lighting in a bottle TWICE, with this album being an absolute slam dunk! Maybe it's the shorter length of the album, but FL59 is consistently at a higher baseline quality than the original PW album. Black Eagles is probably my favorite (the choir goes hard), but it's honestly tied with Fullmetal Frontline, Redline, and Descendants (Vincent Moretto shredding on his guitar in this song is a gift from God).
